Al Ghurair City extends a warm welcome to children with special needs

In conjunction with the 10th annual Dubai Summer Surprises, Al Ghurair City has teamed up with the Special Needs Families (SNF) to host a fun packed day for children with special needs.

At 10am on Sunday, on the 1st of July, Al Ghurair City will bring to life the classic Cinderella story in an exclusive performance held at the mall. With imaginative sets and decoration and elaborate costumes, the children will be transported to a magical fairytale world. Children will be greeted by original licensed characters and children will have the opportunity to take pictures with Cinderella, Captain Hook, Sleeping Beauty and other popular characters.

Following the performance, kids will be treated to lunch at McDonald’s and an entertaining show by Ronald McDonald, the face of the brand. The children will also walk away with tons of gifts from popular brands such as Giordano Junior, Early Learning Center, Tout Compete Fait and McDonald’s.

The Special Needs Families Support Group (SNF) began in the year 2003 as a means to provide support to a handful of families with special needs children in U.A.E. A few parents with experience got together and started this platform to help the special needs community to cope and to provide constructive direction to its family members. Over the years, SNF has developed with the help of many supporters and today has become a dynamic force for change with the group now consisting of over 150 families.

The Center provides Occupational Therapy, Vocational training, Computers and Self help skills in order for the children to become as independent as possible.

SNF holds a free summer camp each year for children where various outings are arranged. Due to the wide range of activities and entertainment available at Al Ghurair City, SNF has decided to host this year’s outing at the region’s premiere shopping destination.
