Al Ghurair City announces the Knowledge Surprises, another unique event this DSS

Dubai, 12th August 2007: Al Ghurair City, the first shopping mall in the Middle East, unveiled yet another fun packed event for the whole family.

An exclusive event entitled “The Knowledge Surprises” will take place from August 9th to August 15th 2007. A series of pantomimes and plays will take place using a range of different puppets. Using traditional hand puppets, stick puppets, shadow puppets and ventriloquist puppets, children will be introduced to original characters as they are entertained by Ghadi as he tells the story of the “ The story teller and the Shadow boy”.

Children will also have the opportunity to attend a papier mache workshop and how to make their very own papier mache. This technique allows children to put their imagination to use and create different characters or other objects such as masks or lamp shades. Children participating in the workshop will get a chance to paint and decorate ready made paper animals.

In addition, participants can also learn how to create their very own puppet show using their puppets created by themselves.

The Knowledge Surprises will only take place at Al Ghurair City from 5pm onwards, although entrance is free, it is best to arrive early to avoid disappointment!
