Al Ghurair City to showcase 1,000 finalist paintings of “Save Water” Campaign

Part of major initiative by UAE Ministry of Education to promote water conservation
Al Ghurair City, the pioneer shopping centre in the Middle East, will host a unique exhibition from November 22 to December 14 that will showcase 1,000 fascinating paintings done by talented school children, as part of a major initiative by the Ministry of Education to promote water conservation.
The paintings are the 1,000 entries that have been short listed from among the 100,000 entries received in the hugely popular Save Water Painting Competition that is being held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Education, to create awareness of the looming water crisis. The exhibition at Al Ghurair City will provide an excellent visual insight into the thought-process of young minds, and their approach towards environmental issues like water shortage.
Targeted at school children between the age of 6 and 11 years, the Save Water Painting Competition received thousands of entries from over 750 schools. The short listed entries will now go on display at a special exhibition in Al Ghurair City. From these 1,000 paintings at Al Ghurair City, the judges will select 100 winners, who will be felicitated at a grand Award Ceremony on December 15th.
